What is the risk of a severe space weather event?

What is the risk of a severe space weather event?A severe space weather event is what we call a “high impact, low probability” event. How might we prepare for such an event?

The ability to prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies is described by the word “resilience”. Resilience includes understanding the level of risk, preparing and planning for emergencies, responding to and recovering from emergencies, and making society (including organisations, communities and businesses) better able to deal with shocks and emergencies.
